“Joy to the World” is the message for the season we celebrate every December. Joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness is an emotion in which one experiences feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense pleasure. Joy is a stronger less common feeling than happiness.
Whatever you are, if you are enthusiastic, it’s my bet that you have a passion for life.
I don’t know why we spend so much time, energy and effort on those things we can’t change.
Thoughts have power and that power makes a difference in all areas of your life.
A new mindset will bring new results. Whether you want to lose weight, eat healthier, or transform your life style changing your mindset (attitude) will being new results.
I got to be a Tough Old Bird with a Soft Spot for Single Moms and Women Having Tough Times by living through years of tough times myself. Living for a lot of years has taught me that people who are optimistic about the future lead happier and healthier lives.
We are programmed to think negatively. Unfortunately we anticipate tragedy. We are hard wired to shift in that direction. So it does take an effort to be a strong and resilient person. I think the effort is worth it.
Positive thinking often starts with self talk. Self talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of a lack of information.
