“Joy to the World” was playing on the car radio, but I did not feel any joy in my world. It was five days before Christmas – the first Christmas since my divorce and the first one I would spend without my children.

There are millions of beautiful impressions, and they are all for you. There are enough to make you a supremely happy man or woman.
We are programmed to think negatively. Unfortunately we anticipate tragedy. We are hard wired to shift in that direction. So it does take an effort to be a strong and resilient person. I think the effort is worth it.
I know that when it comes to personal and deep heartfelt hurt from those we expect better it is extremely difficult to forgive.
I’m not a great outdoors person but I do enjoy time away from the cares of the day-to-day worries. And I’m always glad that I did when I get outside and enjoy nature.
“Joy to the World” is the message for the season we celebrate every December. Joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness is an emotion in which one experiences feelings ranging from contentment and satisfaction to bliss and intense pleasure. Joy is a stronger less common feeling than happiness.
