Take Care of You!
A new year is just around the corner, four days in fact. I know it is just another day on the calendar. I also know how we tend to think of the new year as a time for beginning again. People start new diets, they join health club, buy workout clothes and equipment. We all -well almost all of us – have habits we would like to change.
There is one habit I’d like to see women, especially single moms, change. I wish more moms would take better care of themselves. I do recall how little spare time a single mom has, and most women are pressed for time these days. At my age, I can look back and say it would have been good if I had taken better care of myself.
So my bit of wisdom for you today is “Take Care of Yourself.”
I am a Certified Professional Coach and I hold a degree from Lamar University in Speech and a Master’s from the University of Texas. I married Sam after raising three children as a single mother. I was an educator in regular and special education for twenty years, finishing my professional career as a Braille teacher. In 2007 I founded SMORE for Women. SMORE is a nonprofit association whose goal is Single Moms, Overjoyed, Rejuvenated, and Empowered. My stories have been published in several Christian books and magazines. My Website.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us! Taking care of ourselves is great advice to carry into 2018.
