Your Self Awareness

A Message for Those Who Have Lost Identity

It is the chiefest point of happiness that a man is willing to be what he is.—Desiderius Erasmus

Knowing your God-given Personality Style brings self awareness. With self awareness comes freedom. This requires an honest look in the mirror. It is crucial to truthfully acknowledge and accept your personality before you embark on your path. Shakespeare said it clearly, “To thine own self be true.” And scripture tells us, “An honest answer, is like a warm hug” Proverbs 24:26 (Msg). Hug yourself and bring out your genuine beauty by discovering your authentic temperament.  The beautiful you is the inner woman, the honest girl all grown up. Approach your self openly and truthfully. Hannah illustrates a woman crying out the desires of her heart. She allows herself to be vulnerable with her sincere plea before God. “O Lord Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant…” I Samuel 1:10 (NIV).  To gain a new sense of self you must reintroduce the original model to the one you have become. So tell yourself the truth as you begin a new journey. When you awake from Wonderland, you will have a sense of purpose and direction. You will come out of the “rabbit hole” and follow the path that will lead to the freedom of being you. Getting personally acquainted with the person God imagined when He created you is an adventure.  The first step of this journey must be to identify your God-given Personality Style.

If you haven’t completed a personality profile, don’t delay.

You may start with the Your Personality Tree by Florence Littauer or with Wired That Way by Marita Littauer both include a personality profile. You can find either of these books on Amazon. If you are already aware of your personality traits use that knowledge as you go forward as a remarkable single mother.
