When I was in high school, I took a civics class. I came home and told my parents, “I know what I want to do when I grow up. I want to be the Speaker of the House.” My dad quickly replied, “I thought you already were.”
Ever since I was very young, speaking and drama have been my life. I earned a degree in Speech and taught speech and drama in various school districts. I have spoken at conferences in six states and Canada. I even spoke once in Kenya. I was on the radio for ten years- presenting one-minute spots. In the last few years, I’ve appeared on over 40 podcasts. For more, go to my WEBSITE. I mail Gail’s Gazette to about 700 people on the 1st and 15th of each month. The blog appears in your inboxes twice a month. My editorials have been compiled into a booklet called “The ABC’s of Wisdom.”
With all the online opportunities, I can now share with people all over the globe.
I raised three children as a single mother before I remarried. I have experienced the potholes, pests, and perils of being the sole head of household. I was an educator in both regular and special education for twenty years. I am the founder of Single Moms EmpowerEd, a nonprofit organization that supports single mothers pursuing degrees that lead to employment. I’m also a Certified Professional Coach, and my stories have been published in several books and magazines. My book, Living, Learning, Loving, is available on Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
