How You Can Make the World a Better Place

I think we can agree that there is far too much hate in the world. The 24/7 news coverage makes sure we see it all. After the angry mob recently attacked our capital it is easy to give the anger a face. So what shall we do? Those of us watching – what can we do?

“The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World” is a poem by William Ross Wallace that praises motherhood as the preeminent force for change in the world. 

Our children will determine what happens next, at least in the next generation which comes faster than you think.

It is time to read to your children.

• When you read a “bedtime story” your child learns many good things.
• Reading is good and thinking about what you read is great.
• Talking about what you read helps develop a bond between parent and child.
