Let’s Fulfill the Dream of Single Moms
Single mothers who do not have a family support system-many do not.
Single mothers who do not receive child support-many do not.
Single mothers who had a baby before they completed their education-many did.
In Jefferson County, 44% children live in single-parent homes. One-third of the single mothers in the United States have fallen into poverty.
I am a Life Coach and have talked with single mothers for eleven years. I was a single mother of three, myself, for sixteen years.Having a college degree gave me and my children an advantage. One thing I know for sure is that education makes a significant difference for women who are the single-head-of-a-household.
There are programs that offer support for single mother while they attend college. They turn the lives of the moms around. And in turn, the moms agree to attend certain workshops and learn new life skills.
The Bridges of Hope Educational Support Program is modeled after these programs We have our first candidate who will be completing a degree in sociology at Lamar University. She is a remarkable and worthy woman who will be an asset to our community.
The budget total is $2000 a month. We need 90 donors giving $20 a month to begin our journey towards our dream.
All donations are greatly appreciated. Donate HERE
