Listen to Still Small Voice
I enjoy time alone to contemplate and pray. In our busy world, we usually have loads of information coming at us 24/7. If we don’t make the time for listening to spiritual direction we probably won’t hear it.
From my book, Living Learning Loving:
Allow your soul to be fertile ground for the seeds of spiritual growth. Growth is what life is about. If you haven’t noticed, look at your children. Their physical growth is a constant. Aren’t you always buying new shoes and jeans? Seasons change and growth continues. Of course, I’m speaking of spiritual growth here. As adult Christians, we should ask ourselves how we have grown lately. Are you the same person you were a year ago? What have you learned? How would others say you are different?
I raised three children as a single mother before I remarried. I have experienced the potholes, pests, and perils of being the single head-of-household. As an educator in regular and special education for twenty years I know a great deal about child development and how to handle kids. I am the founder of SMORE for Women, a nonprofit whose goal is Single Moms, Overjoyed, Rejuvenated, and Empowered. I’m also a Certified Professional Coach and my stories have been published in several Christian books and magazines. My book, Living Learning Loving is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble online.
