How to Go Back to College
Face it, education opens doors, especially for women and even more especially for single mothers. I went back to college as a single mom to increase my earning potential as an educator. You may just need to earn a certificate for a job skill so that you can provide for yourself and your children.
I encourage you to look at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, Texas. If you don’t find a program that interests you there look at VISTA College or Brightwood. In some cases you may need to apply to an online college. Just be sure it is credible and that the degree you receive will be accepted where you need for it to be.
The Community Coalition’s program for single mothers is an Educational Support Program and will be functioning in the future. For now make plans.
I’d be delighted to hear your story if you’ve returned to college as a single mom.
