Don’t Put Things Off

Gail Cawley Showalter

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest?

behold, I say unto you,

Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” –  John 4:35

Procrastination can destroy your relationships and your life. Do you put things off that you know should be done today?

Christ was speaking of reaching those people who need the Good News. Do you know people who need a Good Word from you?

Text messages get answered quickly these days, but are we forgetting the truly important words that need to be spoken?

In reference to procrastination – I kept putting off eating better…it took to much effort….time consuming. I know….the age old thing that gets talked about and talked about, right? But, recently I was forced to eat better because of some health pain I was dealing with at the time. The thing is…was the benefits of finally doing it. It didn’t really take that much more extra effort or time and because I felt better…I actually GAINED time because I wasn’t feeling so draggy. I just shook my head at myself…why didn’t you do this sooner? I just needed to take that step forward that I needed to do “today” and the following days….which is the case for me in so many things…it makes such a huge positive difference! And, it is an encouragement…to know I’ll have the same positive results on other things too if I’ll just step out.
