Happy Mother’s Day to All the Steel Magnolias

Delicate and Pure Like a Mother’s Love

Happy Mother’s Day

Single mothers are my heroes. They are truly steel magnolias. They have resilience and strength. Yet they are tender and easily wounded. If you are a single mom please know that you have the admiration of many, even when they don’t say so. You are capable of so much and you demonstrate it daily. Your children may not say so now, but someday they will tell you how much they appreciate all that you did for them.

Hold your head up high. Respect yourself. And let your children see you overcoming all the obstacles that come your way.

As an educator in regular and special education for twenty years she knows a great deal about child development and how to handle kids. She is the founder of SMORE for Women, a nonprofit whose goal is Single Moms, Overjoyed, Rejuvenated, and Empowered. She is a Certified Professional Coach and her stories have been published in several Christian books and magazines. Her book, Living Learning Loving is available on CreateSpace, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble online.
